About

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University at Albany with a double major in International Politics and Global History. During my time in Albany, I spent a semester abroad after being selected to partake in the Honors Program in Middle East Studies at Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

While studying in Jerusalem, I worked as a research intern in the Middle East Unit at the Harry S. Truman Research Center for the Advancement of Peace assisting in conflict research.

After completing my undergraduate degree I spent two years working for a member office of the US House of Representatives as a congressional staffer and liaison to US Air Force, Army, Naval and Merchant Marine Academies.

I am currently working on my MA in the Graduate Program in International Affairs at the New School, concentrating in Conflict and Security.

My main research interests include:
- conflict resolution and negotiation
- identity politics and social-psychological theory
- violent political conflict
- securitization theory
- insurgency and terrorism
- peacebuilding and development
- Middle East and Islamic studies
- critical security studies
- international relations and foreign policy
